Halloween Horror Nights is back at Universal Studios Florida for 2026, bringing another season of haunted houses, scare zones and nighttime entertainment to Orlando. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the event, and one of the most talked-about attractions is a haunted house inspired by the Academy Award-winning film Sinners.

Whether Halloween Horror Nights is the main reason for your Orlando trip or an evening addition to a longer vacation, here is what visitors can expect from Halloween Horror Nights 2026.

Halloween Horror Nights Orlando 2026

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 takes place at Universal Studios Florida on select nights from August 28 through November 1. The separately ticketed nighttime event transforms the park with haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment and themed food and beverages.

This year's event celebrates 35 years of Halloween Horror Nights with 10 haunted houses featuring a combination of popular movies and television properties along with original concepts created specifically for the event.

Sinners Comes to Halloween Horror Nights

One of the biggest attractions at Halloween Horror Nights this year is the haunted house inspired by Sinners, the supernatural horror film written and directed by Ryan Coogler.

The movie became one of the most acclaimed films of the year and earned several Academy Awards in 2026, including Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, Cinematography, Original Score and Original Screenplay.

For Halloween Horror Nights, Universal has recreated the world of the film as an immersive haunted-house experience.

Inside the Sinners Haunted House

The experience transports guests to the 1930s Mississippi Delta and the opening night of Club Juke, the juke joint at the center of the film.

Guests encounter familiar characters including Smoke, Stack, Sammie, Mary, Annie and others as the celebration is interrupted by the arrival of bloodthirsty vampires.

Universal's creative team has recreated memorable environments and moments from the film, including Club Juke and scenes inspired by the movie's distinctive combination of music, history and supernatural horror.

More Than Just the Sinners House

Although Sinners is likely to be a major attraction for many visitors, Halloween Horror Nights 2026 includes 10 haunted houses in total.

The event also features scare zones throughout Universal Studios Florida, live entertainment and specially themed food and beverages. Guests can spend an entire evening exploring the different houses and experiences throughout the park.

Planning Your Halloween Horror Nights Visit

Halloween Horror Nights can become extremely popular as Halloween approaches, particularly on weekends and during October. Visitors planning an Orlando vacation around the event should consider choosing their event night and accommodations in advance.

Halloween Horror Nights is a separately ticketed event, so admission is not automatically included with regular daytime admission to Universal Studios Florida.

Where to Stay for Halloween Horror Nights

If Halloween Horror Nights is one of the main attractions on your Orlando vacation, staying near Universal Orlando Resort or International Drive can make getting to and from the event more convenient.

Travelers planning to visit Walt Disney World®, SeaWorld® Orlando and other Central Florida attractions during the same vacation may instead prefer a more centrally located Orlando resort.

Before choosing your accommodations, compare the attractions you plan to visit and consider how much driving you want to do during your stay.

Make Halloween Horror Nights Part of Your Orlando Vacation

For horror fans, Halloween Horror Nights has become one of Orlando's signature fall events. The addition of Sinners gives visitors an opportunity to step inside one of the year's most celebrated horror films while experiencing the elaborate haunted environments for which Halloween Horror Nights is known.
